For us He died. For Him we live.
For every girl with a broken heart there will be a boy with a glue gun.

Hello everyone =) indeed i have something to add!! First! i thought laupo was grandmother and not wife and so yeah this proves my chinese super sucky and GOOD that im going CLB next year or ill just die!

Wonder how im blogging? haha im using RYANS LAPTOP! hahah It all started when ryan got on his bus and everybody dispersed and i almost reached the post office when ryan called me and sounded all desperate and shaky! He told me he had lost his laptop! Then he said oh i remember i left it on the table in church near the vending machine! And so being the saviour i am i rushed with a injured leg back to church and got the laptop and thank God it was there and i started walking home happily and called ryan about the good news and he went insane! he was like thanking over and over aain like some robot i think like 20 times then i say yeah no problem its ok and said byebye. Then he wont let me hang up and kept on thanking me hahaha and so when i got home i used his laptop until now and so yeah here i am =) haha

i changed the song to Light up your sky by Yellowcard cause i think its so nice lah! i want to light up someone special in my life's world but i just dont know who yet hahahah ok ok

Thats all and i leave you with the lyrics of the song and also remember to see davids post below.

Your making choice to live like this,
    And all of the noise,
    I Am Silence.
We already know how it ends tonight,
You run in the dark through a firefight.
And I would explode just to save your life,
    Yeh I would explode.

Let me light up the sky,
    Light it up for you.
    Let me tell you why,
    I would die for you.
Let me light up the sky.

I can't find a wall to pin this to,
Their all coming down since i've found you.
I just wanna be where you are tonight.
I run in the dark looking for some light,
And how will we know if we just don't try,
    We won't ever know.

Let me light up the sky,
    Light it up for you.
    Let me tell you why,
    I would die for you.

Let me light up the sky,
    Light it up for you.
    Let me make this mine,
    I'll ignite for you.

Let me light up the sky,
    Just for you tonight.
    Let me help you fly,
    Cause you won't have time.
    Cover your eyes,
    Get your disguise,
    They won't ask you why,
    They just watch you die.

And it's still so hard to be who you are,
    So you play this part,
    The show goes on.
You've come this far with a broken heart,
    Yeh you've come this far,
    And you've broken.

Let me light up the sky,
    Light it up for you.
    Let me tell you why,
    I would die for you.
Let me light up the sky,
    Light it up for you.
    Let me make this mine,
    I'll ignite for you,
    I'll ignite for you.

Let me light up the sky,
    Light it up for you.
    Let me tell you why,
    I would die for you.

And it's still so hard to be who you are,
But you've come this far with a broken heart.
And it's still so hard to be who you are,
But you've come this far with a broken...

Let me light up the sky,
Let me light up the sky

Its Rising Up All Around,Its The Anthem Of The Lords Renown 8:12 AM

Wonderful. The beauty of it all.

I'm supposed to stop blogging for exams, but instead I find myself blogging even more. Heh?
Okay exams start like Monday. :/
And Jessica says I'm girlie *rolls eyes*.
But today I was really really encouraged. Thanks to all my great friends at church.

Start of today. Emotional "hangover" from the week. The loss of my old prepaid card due to a PIN problem, the loss of my HEALTH (Now I'm down with flu) and the revelation that my parents know a lot more than I think.

So I was considerably down. And I couldn't concentrate on work, let alone revision (heh, I actually finished Mock HCL paper today. But it took me nearly the whole day to do it).

Lunch was fabulous Mi Goreng. Some instant Mee Goreng thing that is nearly exactly like Maggi.

Well I got Heather's present ready. I didn't know about Gracelynn's birthday till yesterday, so couldn't get her stuff :/ Sorry Gracelynn!

But anyway. An unexpected stomachache after dinner (See my body's really bad) made me late. Like, I missed the bus that would have let me reach church at 7.25pm. Like, cross the road halfway, come up to the central divider, and see the bus pass. Try to flag it down, it gives me a false hope by slowing down at the bus stop, but there's no one there, and it speeds off.

Turns out I have to take the next one, the next 81. 81 has an interval of, oh, about 15min?

So I was late by 10min.

PFFFFFFT. AND I was out of water, so had to refill. Which took even longer.
Heh now I remember I saw Jonathan Chan, Elson, and Benjamin Leong.

When I got there it seemed like there weren't seats. SO, in order not to disturb anyone (late by 10min a lot leh), I went to sit at the back, near the poor deaf guy.

Guess what. I find myself behind 2 rows of PLMGS girls who apparently came from PL fair.

    So anyway uneasily I worship.
Later I find out I missed the first song.
SO anyway when I got there it was "You are my all in all".

The spirit descended on us. No kidding.
And I was nearly compelled to cry when "Give us clean hands" was sung.
I remember the first time I heard it.
    Clearly.
    Tricia sang it on stage.
    As a solo.
    It rang in my ears.
And this time, with Clement as lead...
We didn't need a band. Guitar and keyboard and Clement was good enough.

Well after that I moved back to the guys' section. Sat next to Junyi.
    Pastor Reuben preached today.
And he did something special. He preached without collecting offering/announcements.
His sermon was an interesting passage from Mark 5:14-26.
Different Herod...family tree...marrying his niece...the whole thing was complicated.
But he shared with us about a friend who was burning for God, but then faded and finally passed away. Sadly.
And so his message was "Get serious with God."

We sang the closing song "Give us clean hands" through again. AND we sang our hearts out.
    We ended, surprisingly, at 9pm.

WOW. So after that I talk to Jarret about a joke about RI that Pastor Reuben made. Haha.

Then in the staircase Junyi roars. According to Ryan, 13th time.

Social time. Haha. EXTRA LONG. Since we ended early. EVEN when I'm sick.
Well first up was Tricia, and she was bullying Jeremy Dang.
Then Junyi roars again, thisthat, Tricia and I lament the cold, she uses her jacket to whack people, Dwight comes up, that guy whose name I haven't gotten bullies her, blahblah...(:

Well I gave Heather her present. And well apparently SHE SAYS Valerie was disappointed that I wasn't going to PL Fair (Oh please, I'm sick, the only thing I can bring is germs, but thanks for the concern (: ) and thanks for the present. And Mii Wei the Taiwan girl (Okay she's reasonable?) thought she saw me at Parkway, and knows she saw me at Heather's house. But cos she was asking in Chinese I wasn't too sure xD. I just responded confidently haha. Then she asked me why I didn't say hi to her. Ah, caught.
And uh Heather thinks DOUGLAS TAY is cute. Okay luh, I suppose better than JT? I have his MSN ;p

And uh didn't get to see much else of Heather, went back to talk with Tricia and all.
Play with Ryan's cap, throw it up in the air. Junyi missed the catch!

Tricia jokes with the uncle about sweets. Then another uncle comes and stares at her.
Haha this is the funny part. Tricia was talking in Chinese, she thought he wanted sweets then realised she'd never given him any before. Then he brought his MP3 and phone and wanted to give to her, then she declined. Then she was like "we'll share" in chinese, and then he went "half for you lah." Haha then she was freaking out the whole while.
Then I put the cap on her head and he says "bu yao qi fu mei nu" (don't bully beautiful girl) then she blushes and laughs and turns away...ah. The fun.

Finally Tricia and I make our way to the bus stop. Again accompanied by Hon, Ryan, Russell, Junyi, and this time Jeremy Dang too. Then on the way Tricia gets mock pissed about me calling her aunty and Russell calling her ahma...then Hon calls her LAOPO! Hahaha and he thought it meant grandma. Hon ah hon it means WIFE!
Anyway my bus comes first so I leave.
And I believe Hon has something to add...

    Mr Telea Fakaua

Today's service was nothing short of an atomic bomb.

Today was a fruitful day. I managed to finish all my work except for 1 Physical Science mock paper and 1 Higher Chinese mock paper.

Played Trackmania for a while. xD.

Left the house late (5.15 when it was supposed to be 5) to meet Hon for dinner. Apparently he hurt both his feet, the left by jumping down from 2m while getting his ball that flew over a wall, and the right by jumping up and letting it hit the drum. Thought he'd need some company and some care, so I agreed to go eat with him.

Well, got there early with the aid of a new double-decker 81. As in, the new ones normally go faster. So, yeah, cool. Gen's sister came on with her friend. I still don't know her name!

Reached Heartland at 6.05. The two of them got off too. Anyway tried calling Hon three times but well apparently his phone is still lousy at receiving calls.
He comes at 6.15, we make our way to the hawker.

I treated him to Laksa, he insisted on buying it. (It was $2.50, I thought it was a decent price. Don't come asking me to treat you for anything more.)
The Laksa wasn't too bad, in fact it was the best I'd ever eaten (which isn't saying much, I don't eat Laksa much). He bought me Sugarcane in return. ^^

So uh I gave him my cockles. I bit into one and it tasted like blood. Pfft. Disgusting. But he loves them. No wonder he gets Tonsilitis.

After we eat we go up to Popular cos he wants to buy earphones. Then we joke about Junyi's headphones (sorry!).

Well we reach church early, see Junyi as we walk in. We had to run for the traffic light, it was comical getting Hon to run (double injured legs, remember).

Go upstairs and put our bags. Lionel and SKang were ushers. And we see the band doing some kind of a jazz song. And well some "Angmoh". Which pricks my memory...Ah, yes, today is the DANCE thing. Something special on the 22nd of September. Amanda Liew mock punches me, and then hits the camera in Junyi's hand...*crash*...

And there was this cute baby that the girls were going gaga over.

Go downstairs again to meet Brandon, Shawn, Jeremy Ling, and Jarret. Well, Jarret and I just concocted some RI + ACSI vs. HCI + VJ. Hah. Then Ling agreed with us, so I was like "Fine, plus the students of VJ." Against the principal, apparently? I don't know why.

Finally we see Ryan. Coming with 4 girls (oh, can't he ever be without girls XD).

Go up to be greeted by a warm welcome by Pastor Reuben to the general congregation.
Today's gonna be special. It's in the air. That's what ran through my mind.

    And I wasn't disappointed.

    Mr TELEA FAKAUA
    (pronounced TEH-LI-AH FAH-KAH-WAH).

That's the worship leader for today, and also our very special guest. He's wearing a black oversized shirt. Holding an acoustic guitar. And from the start he's lively.
    "Good Evening, everyone!"
And starts off with a lively song. One I'm familiar with, I forgot what. I must say, from the start his strumming skills are impressive. Barring skills too.
And halfway through he stops the lively band for today (a mix of his friends and our members) and says we're not lively enough. So he says he's gonna teach us one of the hardest dances in the world. Called the one-two step.

Then he says "It goes like this." It's the move-your-right-foot-right then draw-in-your-left-foot and repeat to the left and right and left and so on.
Haha. Then he says, "See, it's so hard all of you still aren't doing it."
In the end we all end up having fun.

Second song was no worse. It was new for us, but well he asked us to bob our heads to the left, then to the right (this was comical), then bounce up and down (using the hand), and finally "shake the Holy Spirit inside".

And for the third song. WOW.
On Eagle's Wings. It's a pretty old song, sung mostly by our adult service. But this time he added a touch of his own flavour in it.
It sounds exactly like a remix. A good one, too.
    It's JAZZ.
    I never imagined.

And well. The second last song we sing is also new to us. But we're all willing to learn, I guess. It's about the voice of the Saviour. Touching, slow.

And for our majestic last song.
    It's nothing but 4 lines.

    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Our God reigns
    -Hillsong United - Hallelujah
But you would never have imagined how great it was.
I guess it had to do with the meaning of Hallelujah.
It means, simply, praise be to God.
But. WOW. My voice was unlocked. I sang like never before. Honest. I guess, the whole TNG sang their hearts out.
And as we sang it over and over again, and the words touched our hearts...
Suddenly, with closed eyes, I heard the singing of multitudes. I'm not kidding, it's what I heard. And no, I wasn't in the middle. I was sitting at the extreme left, where Sec 2 guys always sit.
IT WAS A MULTITUDE. It sounded like surround sound. Like the whole TNG multiplied by 1000 singing. And, no kidding, it sounded like heaven.
Definitely I've never felt that before.
After we finished with that song, and yes, it was great worship, even better than Luke's the week before, Hon asked me if I had felt the whole floor shake, as if from an earthquake.

I looked at him, startled. Shake?
Yes, he said. The whole floor went down and up. Like, a few centimetres.

Wow. We bring the roof down, baby!

Okay. So while we were collecting offering Pastor Reuben introduced Mr Telea Fakaua. He's a Samoan, and is now a citizen of New Zealand. He used to be a rapper! He plays Rugby :o, and does the Hakka?

And he met him in "Gayland"(Geylang). Hahaha.

So he comes up and I'll tell you he took the stage. He told us that when he saw speakers bringing up their Bibles and their papers he groans and looks at his imaginary watch *laughter*. SO in light of that today he's here to tell us his life story.

From young he grew up in NZ. And around our age he started a gang with four friends. Just to see where it would go.
    Wicked A*s Baby Gangsters.
From here on he sounds like CJ.
Carl Johnson, San Andreas. (GTA). Runs Grove Street Gangstas4Life. Colour of gang: Green.
Telea Fakaua, Samoa. Runs Wicked A*s Baby Gangsters. Colour of gang: Yellow.
    Okay!

Heh. So he says, his gang grew from 4 to 8 to 12 to 36 and in the end it ended up being 80 people.
Imagine! Him leading 80 people as a gang! How formidable he must be!
But no, he's skinny! The only reason is because the Southerners and Easterns (him) click. Then their enemy was the Westerners.

Cool. So, anyway, at 16 he fulfills his dream. He gets signed for a music contract as a rapper.
    Isn't that cool! 16!
And he says his rise to fame is somewhat like Eminem's. Heh. According to the movie 8 Mile.

And one day he decided to rob his manager. Well, his manager is real close to him because his manager wants to see him to the top. Isn't that cool! So he knows where his manager stows his cash and booze (yes, drugs) and so he plans to intercept the package at the last drop-off (oh gosh, how GTA-cliche-ish).
According to him, the last drop-off is the largest. SO in the end he got $10,000 and loads of cocaine and drugs. And he was like, "Whoa. This is all mine!"

Apparently his manager was the leader of *something*Mafia. So he sent his men to some poor guy's house who they suspected had taken the stuff. With shotguns and all. But only the wife and the baby are home. So they warn her, he either turns up with all the cash and booze, or leaves the country, by next morning.

So next morning the manager tells him all this. What happens was, the guy returns all of it plus a Mercedes just to make up. Ouch.

Anyway. His salvation story. He goes to Perth to go with his brothers in YWAM for two weeks around the area.
Apparently they're having a staff retreat and he's freaked out by the stuff they do.
And he'd planned to hit all the clubs in Perth (wow), and managed to in two days.
Then his brothers thought he should stay. For a Discipleship Training Course. And since they're older than him and his society teaches listening to your elders, he reluctantly agrees.

Then he goes like. For y'all it's once a week. Every Sunday (or Saturday), then a week's break, then another sermon. But for Discipleship Training, it's EVERYDAY!

Argh. Continue this some other time. Dad wants me to sleep. It's 12.15, anyway. Nites all. Stay tuned! xD

    Saturday, September 15, 2007
    My Bad Day turned well.

Cause you had a bad day
    You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
    You say you don't know
    You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
    You had a bad day
    The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
    You had a bad day
    You had a bad day

    Had is right.

Gosh. My parents got me inside out for distractions. Cos I slept at 1.30 the night before. So they skinned me alive.

Went through the whole cycle. Depression, emo, thoughts of suicide.
    No kidding.

I'd rather hurt myself than them.
Anyway rushed to church, bought my dinner there cos I was late.

    KFC. Yeah.

Transferred Pepsi to bottle. Heh. Hon came along to watch.
Debb came today. Passed me Gabriel's blazer.

    Ok...

    So umm. Worship!
Isaac (Sec 3) was at the door doing ushering. So I asked him if he was going for missions.
Heh. Will get to know the team well soon.

    Worship was SUPER COOL.
    Ryan sang.
    Dwight sang.
    Shawn's sister sang.
And well Luke was on guitar and vocals.
    Gotta say a lot.
    Luke. Has this flair.
    For music.
    Honest.

    We started off with .
It's a great song. And today the vocals and band really matched well.
And then they sang my favourite!
The song Cleo sent me xD

    I love the song.
Surprised I could actually reach the high notes.
    And
Never viewed that song in this light before.
And finally. The song that impacted me the most.
    <Unknown Band - You Are So Faithful>

Like the sun that rises everyday
    You are so faithful,
    Lord You are faithful

Like the rain that you send
And every breath that I breathe
    You are so faithful, Lord

Like the rose that comes alive every spring
    You are so faithful,
    Lord You are faithful

Like the life that you give
To every beat of my heart
    You are so faithful,

    LordI see the cross
and the price You have to pay
    I see the blood
    that washed my sins away

And in the midst of the storm,
through the wind and the waves
    You'll still be faithful
    You'll still be faithful
If the stars refuse to shine
    And time is no more
    You'd still be faithful
    You'd still be faithful, Lord

And well my pepsi in my bottle kept leaking. Pfft. Took two tissues to clean it up.
And Shawn brought 2 friends from Barker.
I realise one is my very old friend from ACS(J). Seth Ong. We remember him fondly as (S.O.) (with negative connotations).

Finally the mission - Goer video didn't have glitches.

    SERMON.
By this guy known simply as.
    Mr Tony.

Well I'll tell you a bit.
Brannigan told me his dad went for this guy's seminar before.
Says he has a speech problem. A little slurred, as though he had a harelip.
His daughter was killed in an accident, or something like that.
    He's a missionary.
So apparently this guy is appropriate in ending off missions month.

From the start we know he's comical.
"A lot of people ask me why I'm shorter than my wife."

Anyway. He starts off with his life experience.
    Firstly, he was a Chinese.
He invited spirits to possess him.
    And he hated Christians.
    He hated the Bible.
    He thought it was fake.

Then in Sec 3 he was staying in a dorm.
His mum had given him $120 for a month's expenses or something like that.
And so he had $5 left when it was time to go home.
    One $5 note.
    Folded neatly into a square.
And it was his last day.
And so on the last day he was all eager to go home and buy the ticket, which was $4.50.

    And he LOST the money.
Haha at this point he went hysterical.
    No money, no ticket.
    No ticket, no free ride.

So he got a few of his friends to look all around for it.
    Then they couldn't find it.

So in the end they went to 'hide' (rest) under a tree.
So he went far far away.
    And decided to try Jesus.
And he didn't want to see people praying.
And haha he thought Christians were stupid for.
    1. praying into empty air
    2. closing their eyes while praying (people close their eyes and walk into walls/poles. Haha)

And so he fired off a quick prayer, cos he didn't want people to see him praying.
And he didn't want to knock into anything.
    So he was like.
He bowed his head. Came off the stage. Closed his eyes. And prayed.
"Jesus, if you are real, show me where my 5 dollars are."
    QUICK ONE.
And hahaha he stops right in front of someone.
And his head bowed, his eyes closed.

    Then he opens his eyes.
    Then they go big.
"The $5 were right under my feet!
Then I said, no, it couldn't be.
    But yes, it was.
There my $5 was, neatly folded into a square. Couldn't be anyone else's."
    Hahaha.

    We loved him.
    He called lifefloats DONUTS.
Hahaha. The whole congregation went hysterical over this.

But he drove in his message well, amid life experiences that were so funny they made even the most serious laugh.

The Bible gives 4 voices of God.
    1. Heaven. Says, go and spread the good news.
    2. Hell. Says, please go and spread the good news to my loved ones. I don't want them to come here.
(And, of course, "If you know I was going to hell since you believed in Jesus, why didn't you tell me?)
    3. Inside you. The Holy spirit says, please go. (And here he asked. Do you know why the world is so dark? Simply because, all the light of the world *pause* has gathered in all the churches! So these churches got a lot of lights! You shine at me I shine at you (: )
Hahaha. And then he goes, so spread the light!
Another one. We fast forward 200 years, for we know we'll all be in heaven.
Then we'll have a PLMC meeting in heaven.
And we'll look down on Singapore.
And 200 years from now PLMC will have multiplied.
    Then can count.
    PLMC. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7...all over (Haha here we all laugh like mad.)

And 4. The world. It says, COME. COME and tell me the great news.

    Anyway. We loved his speech.
He made 2 appeals. One, for those who wanted to say, "Here I am, Lord. Send Me." Like Isaiah. I was compelled to stand. The second was for new believers. Those who wanted to believe.
    No closing song, oddly enough.

From here on I shall refer to this special someone as Trevor, to protect his identity.
He doesn't want it to be revealed.

While everyone was leaving he told me he wanted to accept Christ.
To be honest, I'd never done the prayer with anyone before.
    When I said it I was 5.
But I got down on my knees anyway since he didn't feel like going to the pastor.
And somehow conviction came into me.
I led him well, I will admit. Thank you God!

And well he went to tell Ryan. So the two of us were happy for him.
    Ryan nearly bowled me over.

Then he approached Pastor Kay Leong.
Then he and Mr Tony prayed for Trevor.
I stood by respectfully while Rachel asked me some questions.

I love today, totally! It's the first I've ever done.
    THE FIRST.
He will always be special in that way.

And so after they were done I asked Mr Tony and Rev Kay Leong how to guide him.
Well he gave me several tips.
    1. Assurance. Continue to assure that he is accepted by Christ. It's known fact, but for new Christians they need food.
    2. Teach him how to pray. Important important important.
    3. Get him to do devotions. Tell him how to get God's word from the Bible. For God's word will never die.
    4. Meet up with him once a week to ensure that this is done.

And then they prayed for me.
    ❤

Heh. Anyway. Then we went down.
Tricia was the number 1 to approach me.
Well, cool. She gave me the Never Stop CD. Which I'm listening to now.
And said hi to JiaWen, who surprisingly came today.

Well, they took out their cameras and...I got flashed 10 times in total today.
My eyes currently have 10 faint blotches when I shut my eyelids.
    Hmpf.

And then I hang around Tricia and co. Heh.
Talk to about everyone. Surprisingly, little of Heather.
Some of Cleo. haha. She asked Ryan to walk her somewhere. How romantic. (x

Debb was laughing everytime I got flashed. Hmpf.

Anyway the walk down to the bus stop was eventful.
And I was drinking the remainder of my Pepsi when 81 came.
SO Junyi thoughtfully flagged it down for me, and JW helped me with my blazer. Thanks!
Trust the Lord to make a bad day good.
