Played a few games with Natalie.
Finally gave everyone (those who have active Friendsters) a happy EOEOY comment.
Haha.
Pre-church
Gosh. I had a stomachache, then needed to gel my hair cos of a promise to Christie, and well myself. Cos she gave me gel for last year's Christmas, so I'd thought after-EOY was an appropriate time to try.
Uh. It took longer than expected. So I got out of the house 25min behind schedule. CRAP.
Anyway. Managed to get to Kovan MRT at 6.30. Which wasn't too bad, I was supposed to meet Tricia and Hon at 6.15.
I called him, he said he was waiting for Tricia at MRT (ho someone's LATER :D). And his sis was walking around with his grandmother. Cool! He said my hair was a joke. Haha hmpf.
Then we went down to MRT, then Tricia gave us another call saying she was already upstairs. Haha. Madness!
Went up again, saw her with Jonathan Teng. :o Unexpected.
Tricia was lamenting that her father wore the same "Flash" T-shirt as her (so she was wearing a pullover though it was hot) cos the public was thinking whoa this guy got so young girlfriend. Girlfriend or daughter. HAHAHAHAHAH.
In the end Tricia Hon Jonathan Teng and I went to the hawker but there were no seats.
Hon's grandma deposited Kimberly Adeline Hon (hah, found out her full name) with us. Then Tricia commented that their grandma was "So young!" Then haha I asked her to say louder cos it was a compliment.
In the end Joseph Teng also joined us. We went to Macs to eat. Tricia kept saying I looked like I was balding (Hon messed up my hair!)
Haha as we were ordering Brannigan came too. To lighten up the mood?
I took Filet O' Fish.
Hon helped me with my hair. Then it looked okay. He said I put too little wax/gel?
Tricia and Kimberly took care of our bags while we ordered. So naturally they left after we went back to the seats.
Mac's was crowded. Some birthday party was going on.
We joked around, finished our burgers.
Kimberly and Tricia took SUPER LONG.
You know why?
Cos Hon and I bought Filet O' Fish set.
So that's two right.
I had to wait 3min for mine.
Haha then the both of THEM ordered.
Same thing.
Wahahaha.
So they waited 15min?
We'd finished our burgers and were digging into fries by the time they came back.
Not bad, eh.
So while they were eating we continued to joke.
Got some curry sauce, thanks to HON who took for himself but not me. Heehee.
Then Brannigan kept using the straw to shoot these bits of ice at me and Hon like projectiles. Didn't help that Brannigan's had force and Jonathan Teng's had lots of water to accompany the projectile.
One of Bunny's hit the back of my neck.
It was like a 'cold, stinging sensation'.
Haha.
SO we finally moved off at 7.15, and then got on an 81. Then Bunny and Joseph jaywalked, so Tricia, Hon, Kimberly and I were left.
Then Tricia kept saying Kimberly was SOOOO quiet.
Service
By the time we got in (Hon messed up my hair in the toilet, then abandoned me) they'd started singing.
I saw Christie give me a glance, then a stare. (It's her gel, I'd promised, I did use it!).
They were singing some weird song.
I felt like an idiot with my hair.
Ryan was singing! He looked kinda cool with his white shirt and jeans and this necklace. That looked a bit like dogtags.
Anyway the only song that touched me through worship was "Planetshakers - All I Want Is You".
Junyi looked super depressed so I sat beside him (switch seats with Hon).
We had cool announcements! Uncle Jeff highlighted the insert that mentioned we were moving to PLMGSS. Oh, like finally they set a date. Haha it's been the talk for months already.
Then registration on Oct20 for Junior Camp!
And Jon Choy made an announcement for night cycling. Aiya, confirm cannot.
Pastor Reuben preached! About how we were masterpieces. Asked us to stand, said this was serious, made us put hands on cheeks, and say MASTERPEAS.
At least, that's how it sounded.
Anyway.
He gave us a few bible references.
Quite cool!
Then Hon and Junyi (right and left respectively) who didn't bring their bibles shared with me.
Hon was rather insensitive about Junyi. There Junyi was feeling depressed then Hon goes "You feeling gay?"
WHAT?!
Anyway. SERMON was about Pastor Reuben giving us many passages from the Bible showing that we were something more than the other creations of God (Gen - it was VERY good ah.) and that we were the pinnacle of God's creation.
And that his job was to reveal the masterpiece in us. Cos he couldn't make us into any more of a masterpiece than God could.
Haha he was using the example of the painting Mona Lisa, and says he'd go up there with a black marker pen and draw a mole with a few hairs (haha, sexy mole!) and then say it was a masterpiece.
Haha. As he says, "No more Reuben."
And then he called up his whole team on stage and then called them by name, then we got a few laughs out of "UB" (Uncle Blue - Allan. [Ah Lan]).
Then they were asked to strike a pose and most of the men were like "WHAT." Haha. Then Rachel cried. Awwwww.
Yeah but anyway his message was that we were all masterpieces.
And so as we closed with All I Want Is You, he made the call for those who wanted to be revealed as a masterpiece to move to the front.
Hon and I went first. We were like the first group there.
So after singing the song then I glanced behind me...then WHOA like nearly the whole church was behind us.
Felt good. Like whoa, so many people are behind us. All the way! Jiayou! Haha.
Post-Service - Upstairs
Went back to my seat. Junyi was feeling lost.
Stayed with him while other people moved off.
So I let him well let it out. Yeah.
Then Ryan came and was as clueless as Pastor Reuben who soon walked by.
So after a talk to Pastor Reuben (Yay, ACS!) we went down.
First thing was Cleo.
She braided her hair. Like, WHOA. Never seen her in that style before.
And cos she was wearing this pullover that looked like a jersey and was not wearing her heels she looked like a super-cute schoolgirl. Haha.
Then she'd said she had something important to say to me in person, then conveniently forgot about it. Tsk.
She thought I was emo-ing cos I was looking down. Haha maybe Junyi affected me a little, so I was thinking about it.
Jon Choy wanted me to sign up for the Night Cycling Expedition (Hah, COOLER name. KEWL.) so he gave me a form. Which I can't go for. Heh.
Oh then uh Tricia was talking and haha went to talk to her lorrrrr.
Jiawen comes more regularly now. Now it's for FLORENCE.
Bunny thinks she's super muscular :o
Junyi was taking pictures.
Dwight bit my shoulder. Haha!
Ryan's 'dogtag' said Chicken in Traditional Chinese. Then he was like that's cos that's the year I'm born in. Then I said haha as if I wasn't either. Then he put on his bestest 'FINE LOR' face.
Tricia was giving these brownie things away. Then this guy Joel was eating one, then asked what was inside. Then cos he always bullies/teases Tricia she said she put in her earwax. That's why it was so starchy. Then haha Joel looked at it and pretended he saw this 'green squirmy thing' looking at him and Tricia said it was her mucus and I was like WHERE. Haha. Made a fool of myself cos I didn't know what was going on. But it was real funny. Minutes of entertainment.
Yeah then as I was going off with Tricia and Jiawen to the bus stop with Ryan and Hon and Russell and Jeremy following us I saw Jon Choy and hollered his name and asked what time cell was cos Ryan and Junyi were asking.
Then he was like YOU COME HERE. Which one of you shouted? So I owned up. Then haha he went "because you owned up you will not owe me the 30 you would have owed me if you hadn't. But because you did own up you will owe me 20."
Haha like WHAT?! But ah 20 ain't so bad.
At the bus stop we chatted awhile with Hon and Hon's sister and Tricia and Jiawen and Jeremy and Junyi and Ryan...then my 81 came and Hon said he'd come with me.
Then haha when I tapped he quickly backed out. Hmpf.
Yeah, that's church service for you!
Sunday - Cell
Cos dad was preparing for exams my mum parked at HDB and I walked with her.
Went to chop a place at basement.
Choy soon came after talking to Joseph/Jonathan's mum.
Practised a few songs then passed the guitar to Junyi who went crazy over metal.
Wilma was doing Rubiks cube. I feel like getting one already.
Cell was nothing but sorting out why people didn't listen during sermons and why some walked out, so won't touch on it.
Haha when we wanted to close Jon Choy stared at the girls cos they were making noise, then they realised we were quiet, stared at us, then kept quiet.
Then hahaha we laughed so Jon Choy was like when they make noise open the Bible to Ephesians. Wives, submit to your husbands. Then they will show you, husbands, love your wives. Then you show them the former verse again and slam the book shut.
Like, haha?!
Heather gave me a look. I could only shrug and look clueless.
Lunch
Went across to this weird place.
Table was too small for us.
Ordered Roasted Breaast Chicken Rice.
Then the guy gave me stuff that was 60% fat and bone.
Church
Went up to third floor with Junyi and accomplished quite a bit from 12-1! Brannigan came and took a look. Ryan went to FCBC. Ohwell wanna go there sometime.
Took a break. Then asked where Cleo was.
Dwight was playing bluff. Haha.
He had nearly the whole deck.
Joseph Chan won.
Then Nic came with a ball! Soccer ball. So me and Brannigan fooled around with it.
The church office lady came out several times to tell us to keep quiet. Then Isaac was still playing guitar. Hahaha.
Dwight and Nic were trying to hit Brannigan with the soccer ball and then suddenly Dwight threw it into my face and I was caught off guard. Like WTH luhh. Haha. But I still don't know if he meant it.
As he said, "You're still beautiful enough for my sister."
Hahaha.
Cleo came when we were talking about her. Haha so funny.
So now I became the cute small boy.
Oh what happened was.
We were looking out the window.
Brandon was picking up his cousin from Kindies.
And then Cleo came.
Then cos it was raining.
She was like.
David. Why are you so emo! You're looking out of the window on this dark stormy...day! Hahahahah. Like what?!
Then she looked out of the window and was like OHMYGOSH that guy in the green t-shirt is SOOOOO CUTE!
Then Brannigan and I were looking out and all we saw was the green doors so haha we went Haha Cleo you're the emo one!
Then finally we saw who she was talking about! xD
Then we talked for this WHOLE LONG WHILE.
Like ohman long long long.
Till like 1.30.
Haha but it was so fun!
Cleo kept asking me to entertain her.
But then I didn't know what she liked, and what she wanted! So how.
Cannot lor. Haha.
Tell her stories.
Then Junyi was like "oh the soccer ball teacher story".
Then Samuel came with his guitar and then they were playing "Three Doors Down - Story of a Girl".
Got Junyi to go through how to do devotions, then wrapped up for the day.
After a while Brannigan and I were getting bored so at 2.30 we took the ball down to kick around.
And the ground was wet. Haha.
After a while Junyi joined us.
Then we had to stop after a while cos the uncle said no playing in the open area. Oh well.
So went home. Haha.
