My Friday and Saturday were a total waste in terms of mugging. I did practically nothing. Talked to people, slacked, played, watched a bit of "Transformers". Oh well :/ All my mugging to be done today. Ahhhh.
It was hazy when I got back last night. The smell of burning was thick in the air. Wonder why.
And now it's raining. Well, at least the pollutants will be cleared.
Anyway, about church yesterday.
Pre-church
Was talking to Cleo and Heather on MSN in the afternoon. So enlightening (:
Cleo was crazy over this small cute boy called Alistor, and she told me that in order to destress you should say 'hoohoo' instead of 'haha'. What?! Heh.
And since she hadn't been coming to church the past few weeks (she emphasised that God was still first, she'd been doing devotions at home, and you go to church cos of God, so God was more important than church. Haha) she decided to make a COMEBACK. Whoaaaa...
And Heather was singing! She told me so. Then I guessed correctly that Tricia was too. Tsk, they always sing together. Then Heather said the songs were sorta tribal (hahah, what's that mean!) and the last ones were rather frequent. And there was communion.
Well asked Hon if he wanted to go out for dinner cos my mum is out of town and my dad probably had something on too. He went "Yeah definitely! I'll get my sister lah."
Then by his sister I thought he meant Amanda Chua his "dajie". Haha.
Dinner
So met him at Heartland. I was early! So I went to Popular to take a look, then went into this music store? He called me twice and I didn't feel the vibration xD. On the third call I picked up, went round the corner and nearly walked into him.
And wow, what a great surprise! It wasn't his dajie, it was his biological sis! I'd only seen Kimberly Hon once before, at Hon's barbeque (where he burnt a chair after putting hot coals in a black trash bag on the chair). REALLY didn't expect it. Then Hon here was crazy about these 'girls' that were crazy over him and kept coming to him cos they (or rather he xD) thought he was hot.
Then Hon met his tuition teacher at the hawker. Haha! Then I teased him, thought only GIRLS were attracted to him.
Gosh.
Then Kimberly was real quiet. Then when we bought dinner haha she was like anything anything (:
Then while eating Hon teased her about having bfs. I mean come on luh, she's P6, do you have to pollute her (:
Then tease me also. Cleo here Tricia there Valerie dunno where. I mean come on luh xD.
Well well. But I guess it was nice to get to know his sis!
Hon kept making me laugh. But since I'm sick when I laugh it becomes coughing. Then they think I'm trying to be sarcastic. So it was hilarious.
Like, "Ohmygosh the girl likes me!"
*coughcoughcough*.
And then Hon was telling me that he finished his chinese paper in 10min, and his chinese compo was 12 words, then kimberly said she finished hers in 30sec, then Hon was impressed. Heh.
Mine was three pages long.
Church - Pre-service
We got to church quite early. 6.45. Then we got caught in the middle of the road under the flyover because of the crazy traffic light timing. Cos when you are on the bus it's red, right. Then so when it's green the bus goes. Then you have to walk real fast back to the junction to catch up to the traffic light which turns red from the side you come from, and then green for the side you're supposed to go to. But it's broken up, and the other side turns red before the nearer side does. So you get CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE.
Then Hon was crazy. Wave to random people passing by in their cars. He waved at the 53 (I dared him to) and read off the something delicious pizza from pizza hut. Haha.
We were a little upset at the closure of the toilet for upgrading xD.
Then went up to put our bags. Then cos we were so early, it was like 6.55, we weren't sure whether to go in. So poor Kimberly stood by the lift and Hon went to the toilet while I talked to Heather (there were some people hanging around outside).
As I recall,
1. Tricia was inside (groan, Heather!)
2. Heather was hungry.
3. I introduced Heather to Kimberly.
4. She said we could put our bags inside.
So once Hon was done we put our bags inside.
Tricia came out and waved like some madgirl to Kimberly. Haha.
I excused myself to visit the washroom thanks to the toilet upgrading downstairs, then caught up with them.
Well Jeremy Ling arrived, he seemed quite upset for once. Normally he's irritating, but this time he seemed depressed and dead serious.
Hon's sister followed us around everywhere. Junyi soon came.
Hon found a poem about a worm on the floor and read off it. Then while trying to grab it I accidentally tore a corner off. Then he let it go and it fluttered to the bushes.
Junyi brought out his irritating tennis ball (but well it's funny) and asked me to remember the time in March where he did the irritating quack thing.
Ling asked me about Physical Sciences. Namely Chemistry. Well. Let's see, he asked me about a few radicals.
But uh I really wasn't sure bout the -ide thing! But now I know it means you gain electrons.
Uh well then Heather and Tricia soon came complaining that they were super hungry. Heather hadn't eaten much for lunch, and this AV guy (they called him small boy) was buying food for them.
Then Heather was real scared she'd mess up the thing, so I tried to encourage her. But argh. I guess I really don't know how it's like? And I hate to be on stage, at any rate. Unless like I'm in the back row of the guitar ensemble (which I am xD).
Oh and then I teased Jarret about his girlfriend and he chased me round the church! So funny lurrr. It was like, first I ran into the Jordan Hall, then made a round around Thaddeus, Marcus and Ray, cos I realised the playground had a fence that would be more cumbersome than helpful. You know, hurdles. So I managed to scramble out of church past the guys near the gate. Poor Junyi got tackled. When he was nauseous! Hope you're okay mann.
Then haha made a round then hopped up the stairs and back into church. That was one of the best runs I ever had. Like, a WHOLE ROUND. And I was sick some more. Coughed after that.
Phew. Then we went up with Jarret and I back to normal, thanks to our "ACSI + RI vs. HCI campaign" xD. Then Junyi was like I hate RI and ACSI sucks. So Jarret was like grrrr at first, then HUH. Hahah.
Service - Worship
Went up, still seemed quite empty. Shuffled around. We left Hon downstairs cos he wanted to wait for Hanya so that his sis could sit beside Hanya who would entertain her so that she would come next time. But I knew Hanya would surely come late, with Cleo (ahemahem) so I didn't wait.
Came back in just as worship started. Tricia and Heather kept staring at the Sec 2 guys' section. Haha.
Two mysteriously missing people: Debb (who Junyi constantly gets teased about, poor guy) and Ryan. Russell came in without him.
Anyway the first song was "Rock Of Ages". I felt old. Haha. COS it's so old!
Then the second one was a VERY INTERESTING jazz remix of "Ron Kenoly - Mourning into Dancing" .
And finally a new song. So I really couldn't connect with worship this time :/
Then Heather did a cool solo for "When the Music Fades"! It was real nice.
Debb finally came. We had to usher her in to her saved spot. Heh.
Oh while worship was going on Cleo came up to Russell in front of me with a serious face and whispered some things to him. So I found it kinda weird, Russell rushed out after. I was real scared for him for a while, I looked at Junyi but he was as clueless as me.
Turns out he had to change. He finally came in nearing end of worship.
And Hon finally came in at 8 when worship ended. TOLD YOU HANYA WOULD BE LATE.
Service - Sermon, Communion
Rev Peter Koh spoke about moving into the promised land. I guess the only reason for this was to prepare us for moving into PLMGSS. He said he regretted not even being able to provide us with a proper place for cell, we were in the basement and third floor lying down, sprawled all over (isn't that the point of cell xD) and wanted to give us a better place. We would be moving into the PLMGSS concert hall which could seat 700 (and which to Jessica looks like a prison) and would have classrooms (oh gosh, they decorate their classrooms! [nono, I don't have a problem with that. Really.]) for cell group. So cell's gonna become more and more like lessons? Duwan!
Haha but actually they're putting a VERY BIG TASK on us guys. It's primarily a girls' school.
*wince*.
Heh. Some people will have heaven mixing around, but how many would actually feel comfortable.
Anyway we didn't listen much to sermon. Hon was SMS-ing Tricia. Then I asked him to ask her what she was holding, these furry key chain things, and she replied "Kyo and Chuck". Heh.
Then the next SMS after he sent he told me at the end he put "And David says you look great today." Then I instantaneously looked at her and haha she looked back. Then haha what followed was me trying to show her I had nothing to do with it, and her laughing away.
She replied "you guys so lame".
WHAT'D I DO?!
Then Hon was like aiya help you say only what, know you want to say.
I mean like haha what you want! Tease me some more ah. Haha. But I guess she looked great? Hon made me think about it and I couldn't think of anything to the contrary. Haha.
Junyi kept distracting the cell with the tennis ball till Jon Choy got angry then I had to clamp down on this activity.
Then, communion. Debb was unsure whether she could take. Cos according to her Anglicans needed to be affirmed in order to take. But I had no idea, so I was telling her that I hadn't been baptised or affirmed but I could take. Then Shawn dug into my back and pointed at Choy.
So I had to explain, if not he'd be madder.
Then finally he said we believe that if we believe in Christ and his death AND his resurrection we could take it, and that since she was a Christian already and baptised at birth some more if she was comfortable with it she could take it.
So I subsided.
Well. Junyi's first communion. How's that!
After service - upstairs
Anyway, after service ended at 9.15 I hung around for quite a bit. Asked Ryan why he was so late and why he had been so unresponsive, apparently he'd gone to Martin (2.15 guy)'s house to study, and then his bro had to bring and pass to him clothes for service, but he was wearing slippers. Had a bad hair day, too. Looked dishevelled. Wonder what happened to him.
Chatted with quite a number of people. Gracelynn, a little. Heather and Tricia till they had to go for debrief. Oh, and Debb was telling me about their last day of exams, same as us, Wednesday. Except that I ended 10.05, Junyi ended 12.35, MGS ended 1pm.
So I was kinda wondering what to do until MEP paper review at 12.45. And after.
Then she invited me to go along with them for some after-exam lunch thing.
Then I got a bit apprehensive.
Then she was like "Jess'll be there."
What?!?! Okay...?
Haha. Then it was at Jack's Place! She showed me the SMS. (ah, so ex-).
So in order to wriggle out I kinda said haha who'll be there! There'll be like so many girls to one guy.
Then she was like no, this girl this girl that girl this girl that girl...haha. Then she nearly mentioned Michelle Hwang (who I'd heard a lot about, Shakespeare innuendo) haha then she got set off in laughter. Then I said 'See the girl:guy ratio is like so many to 1. Then she continued spouting female names and the ratio just kept going higher. Haha. Then I said "Imagine what members of the public will think if 1 ACSI guy goes out with 10+ MGS girls!"
That settled the matter ;p
Oh and Hon wanted to know when the registration for TNG Junior Camp '07 was coming out. Cos it's in Sentosa this time, not Malaysia, so a lot more people are allowed to go. Like Hon and his sister. It'll be interesting!
So we went to ask Uncle Allan.
Then Cleo on the way took this foam sword and blocked Hon and me. Well, she wanted me, but Hon went crazy. Heh.
Cleo tried to get my Chinese name out of me. I'd told her Kai, and she didn't believe. Haha finally she deduced that if my Chinese name was Kai and Ong was Wang I was Wang Kai. And deduced she was smart (oh wowwww.)
And finally we asked Rachel and she said it'd be coming out soon, keep posted.
Gracelynn breakdanced a little. Cool!
After service - downstairs
Okay went down. First thing Heather spies me from the lift and so we kinda chat lor. Sigh, what with all the "heyyy, talk to me about cute guys!" and "psst, how's val doing." I can't talk to her much. Er anyway Junyi's around so she's like HEY YOU KNOW DOUGLAS TAY. And I can't say no, right, he's a good newfound friend. Then haha I just said "I have his MSN (:" and she went all crazy.
Junyi knew him but he didn't know Junyi. Heh.
And oh yeah Reuben was around. And then I got to know him. First time I saw him was Heather's birthday party (which was a lil too big) and then the second was when he was being scolded by Mr See Teck Hock in the library where we had gone for IvP, to mug, and well Mr See had to take our attendance so we saved Reuben.
Oh and Mr See somehow affected his exam cos he was the invigilator?
Weirdness.
Anyway went to talk to Debb a little more. And then we played with the ball that Hon had returned Mitchell. Like, Mitchell had it, Berwyn tackled him and got it, I tackled it from Berwyn and passed to Brandon, and well haha Brandon was being marked and he passed to me. So well we had a little fun with balls!
And uh went to talk to Tricia. Where I got stuck for the rest of the time, like. Cos she was with Jiawen, Valerie (different from the one I get teased about) and JieHui, and well they are very interesting to watch.
Eg. Jiawen and Valerie.
Valerie held two fists up, asked JW to pick her right fist.
Then haha JW kept pointing to her left fist cos from that perspective it looks like right. Facing each other.
Then haha Valerie put down her RIGHT fist and JW still kept saying RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT. So farni.
Got to play with Kyo and Chuck a bit. Kyo was this tiger which Brandon thought was Garfield (haha, it wasn't even striped!) and Chuck was this cute little Chick. And then I asked how much it was and she didn't know, and Hon asked how much she was selling it for and she said PRICELESS. Then she said, oh, $10.
Then Hon was like eeeyur how can you sell your friend away.
Then she said cos I can buy another one.
Then Hon said but it's not the same what. Haha.
Yeah anyway then we kept talking and laughing and talking and laughing. And Valerie said Hi to me and I smiled back, then Val poked JW and made her say hi to me, then JW said I know him what. Then Val took her hand, waved it, and said but you must still say hi to him what.
Haha.
Anyway after a while we played the thumb game. Haha. That one JENWEI taught me. The MEP ex-ACSJ friend. And he kept losing at it (:
And then after a while I realised Hon was gone (had to send his sister home, she lives in a different place from him, sadly), Debb was gone (parents had arrived), and Heather was still there (surprisingly, she'd have been long gone by 10pm).
So I left.
Yup.
Went with Brandon to the bus stop, then I saw his 53 and told him to run, don't ask. Heh. He caught it, and my 81 came right after. (:
