COOL QUOTES
For us He died. For Him we live.
For every girl with a broken heart there will be a boy with a glue gun.
Homework: They stack up like Jenga. So don't pull out any, or they'll all fall on you.
Carpe Diem
When you meet the devil in your face, you know you're going the right way.
Pick battles big enough to matter, small enough to win.
When you surrender to the wind, you can ride on it.

    Junyi/Hon's day

    Junyi's Birthday
Went to meet him at Tampines Mall at 1.15pm.
It was raining cats and dogs, as they say.
Changed my number. For the second time within a month.

We went to get tickets for Ratatouille! The second movie within a week. Haha. Post-EOY festivities!
Also, the uncheery shadowy thought of the results coming back.

Ate Roasted Chicken Rice at the TM Food court. There's nothing much to eat here, the Jap's expensive, so is the Western, and the rest of the food...well...just doesn't appeal.
The sauce was nice, I guess. Tried the chilli. Haha. Adventurous lah!

So well we went straight up to the cinema without popcorn or drinks. Cinema 5. G11 and G12.

    Haha.

So well the movie ads were mostly appealing to kids. I still recall last Wednesday's! Philip Pullman. So Junyi and I were laughing off some of the advertisements. There were some weird ones.

Then there was this short Pixar clip before the real Ratatouille began.
As Junyi finds, Lifted. Second Link.
It was about this guy sleeping, and then these two aliens in a UFO hover above his house. One alien is under testing, and the other alien is like the instructor, like a driving instructor.
There is row after row after row of switches that extend as far as the eye can see in front of this alien.
And there is a beam of light into the house this guy is sleeping in. A tractor beam.
And this alien is supposed to bring him through the window to the UFO.
Go read the thing! It's real hilarious. And cute too.

Anyway. Ratatouille was touching and well maybe it didn't have action, but it sure had the 'friendship', 'romance', and 'good and evil' themes.
    I found it inspirational.
As Gusteau says, "Anyone can cook!"

I have trouble finding criticism of this. It's funny yet brings across quite a fair number of messages. People change, never give up...there are lots of things to take away from this movie.

My $7 was well-spent. Though Ratatouille doesn't have any of the blockbuster action thriller scenes that make up stuff like Transformers, it hits home, and hits hard, with its simple yet elaborate nature that brings you to sympathy.

There seem to be a number of central characters. Besides Remy, Linguini and his love Colette, there are the (ex-)[sous] chef Skinner, who represents evil throughout, and Anton Ego the critic, who while at first is arguably the worst of the lot, changes to become one of the most loyal supporters of Remy and his team, which ranges from the cooks to...well...his rats.

    Simply put, Ratatouille is "heart-melting".

    JeremyZaneHon's farewell
After the movie, Junyi and I hung around at Life Bookshop. I found quite a number of the CDs intriguing. WOW Hits 2008, Hillsongs' All of the Above, Saviour King, Planetshakers' Never Stop, Saviour of the World, and even Delirious' Glo, from which Hang On To You and My Glorious are taken from.

And I was also particularly drawn to the meaning of names keychains.
The one popping out at me was Jessica, upper left.
Then Tricia also jumped out at me.
    So I went to look.
Heh. Has a number of names.

Anyway the two of us took an MRT to Tanah Merah, then changed and went through Expo to Changi Airport.
Junyi was still feeling guilty that I was bringing him out, but it's his birthday! And I'd wanted to send Hon off anyway, not him. Haha.

He marvelled at Changi Airport's MRT station, cos the moment you get up from the escalator you see this looooooooong tunnel-like structure with a number of travellators. He wanted to take a picture, but had no camera besides his phone, which he didn't like (2 Megapixels).

Went to Burger King to wait for Tricia and, apparently, Jiawen too.
Cos Ryan was coming later on.

Junyi bought fries in the meantime, I took some.
Went to try to fill my bottle, but it's hard to with the airport water coolers.
I could only fill half my bottle thanks to the height differential and therefore the angle my bottle had to tilt (hypotenuse) so the water that went in kept pouring out and being wasted. Haha.

Finally Tricia came with Jiawen, 20min later than we'd agreed on. Haha laoahma.

Then Tricia and Jiawen were so nice! They bought him a...okay according to Ryan it's a cupcake cos muffins have layers...but then Tricia and Jiawen were arguing over it.
It was real cute, had these small pink sticks sticking out. I think if I'd counted it woulda been 14.

Haha. So after the two of them went to the toilet (Tricia enlightened us with the revelation that she hadn't been to the toilet since 11...wow...what cool bladders you must have, after all that shopping) we took the Skytrain to terminal 1, cos MRT is at terminal 2.

Then Tricia kept saying T3's skytrain (built, but only accessible to authorised personnel, screened by security officers) was going to the Budget terminal. Haha! Aiyo, budget terminal no skytrain, only got bus ar madam!

Then as we were getting into the skytrain to T1 (T2 contains the connection to both T1 and T3, T3 is not connected to T1) someone said something and I turned behind.
Tricia heard "Didi" and Jiawen heard "David", and I was puzzled. Haha.

Anyway Hon kept calling, in the skytrain and outside the toilet, to check our whereabouts. His phone was running out of money! And then he told us check-in counter 6, so as soon as we arrived at T1 we rushed there.

I was honoured to be number 1 to spot him. Tricia was still blurrrrrrrr. :D

So while he was checking in Tricia and Jiawen started playing with the trolley. Tricia sat on it and Jiawen pushed, till they got scolded by the airport person who also took the trolley.
    Haiya, innocent schoolgirls.

Ryan came with Russell! I first saw them when Junyi, who had gone to get them, frolicked back.
We all just kinda chatted till Hon's grandparents and auntie went away.
Then haha we got his auntie to take two pics of us.
Then we whiled the time away talking to him.
Cos we got there about 5.30.
    His flight was at 6.
So Junyi started taking pictures of random stuff at the airport, and complained that Tricia's camera was lousy (Thank GOD for Tricia she remembered to bring a camera. I forgot mine.) and taking up the memory.
Therefore when we wanted to take the last 2 pics Hon's auntie found she didn't have space. So haha we had to delete some of the wuliao pics.

Anyway Hon soon had to go. Awww! Then he checked in and refused to look back till he was inside. Then he kept waving. Haha.

So while we were on the skytrain back he kept sms-ing me. So I showed the rest lor.

Saw Anna on the way back into T2. So SHE was the one that called my name. Haha!

So Tricia and Jiawen wanted to eat, were bored of Macs and Burger King. In the end they went to Burger King, I brought the others downstairs to the bus depot, and we left.
Caught a glimpse of them as my 27 overtook their 53 ;p
They were trying to find me and doing a very poor job of it. HAHA!

We'll miss you Hon! I'll help you update!
    Adieu
